The Company will source and package high quality dried Hibiscus flower to identified markets in North America, Europe and Asia. Globally, dried hibiscus flower is used in the production of hibiscus tea. Hibiscus tea is a caffeine free herbal tea from made out of the dried fruit part of Roselle, called calyx. It is in red color and tastes like berries.

Source: The dried Hibiscus flower will be sourced from Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Gombe, Bauchi and Borno states.
Packaging: The final products will be packaged in new 25kg Polypropylene Bags for exports.
Market Overview
Hibiscus is a valuable and versatile crop whose brightly coloured, star-shaped flowers are prized for their tart flavor, and can be made into a long list of by-products. Hibiscus jellies, jams, fruit pastes, traditional medicines, teas, syrups and refreshing drinks can be found in almost every market stall in West Africa. These beautiful flowers have a high concentration of Vitamin C and have been proven to medically reduce high blood pressure. In Nigeria, Hibiscus flower grows nearly throughout the year, though its peak production is during the dry season of November to April of the following year. Dried Hibiscus flower grows in various States of Nigeria including Kano, Borno, Jigawa and Bauchi States. Dried hibiscus flower is used in the production of hibiscus tea.
Hibiscus as an important perennial herb is fast booming in the Nigerian market as exporters are exporting large percentage of produced crops of North America, Europe and Asia. Nigerian markets for Dry Hibiscus Flower export are the United States, Mexico, Germany, Holland, Latvia, Ukraine, Russia and other parts of Europe, Asia and North America. It is exported natural and further processed upon arrival at the buyer’s facility for its intended uses. In 2017, Nigeria exported 1,983 containers of Hibiscus to Mexico alone, earning over $35 Million in nine months, according to the Association of Hibiscus Flower Exporters of Nigeria. Internationally, the Dried Hibiscus Flower is processed into hot and cold herbal beverages, jellies, confectioneries, etc. Nigeria literarily seats on a hibiscus goldmine as the flower can be grown in virtually all the northern states of the country, according to the Institute of Agricultural Research (IAR) ABU Zaria. The Association of Hibiscus Flower Exporters of Nigeria (AHFEN) estimates the value of the country´s hibiscus industry to worth about $100million. According to AHFEN, hibiscus flower export holds great promise as an economy booster, especially in the era of diversification from oil. The global hibiscus flower market size was estimated at USD 113.3 million in 2019 and is expected to expand at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.2% from 2020 to 2027.
